Either Or Or

Morning Meds; 6 28 19

It’s so easy to get caught up in a perceived world of

either or or,

where we choose to believe that only one possible outcome is possible.

We exclude all the possibilities of two dissimilar options blending into one.

In a reality of infinite possibilities impossible things can happen.

Our beliefs create our happenings.

Enlightening the World

Morning Meds; 6 27 19

It’s not our responsibility to enlighten the entire world, we just need to let our light illuminate the space around us.

Illuminating our space allows others to realize their own radiance.

It’s not our place to attempt to shape their light to our liking, for then it will be merely a reflection of our own and its authenticity is lost.

Our authenticity is the essence of our core, the essence of the who and what we eternally are, that spark that animates our human form and continues on after our human form is discarded.

As other individuals find ways to appreciate and radiate their own special light, the world will reflect the change.

Our Words Define Us

Morning Meds; 6 26 19

Our eyes process the frequency of wavelengths of light converting them to useable information we call color.

Our brain processes the frequencies of spiritual concepts into useable information we call words.

Words are like libraries, volumes of attached information come with every word.

Our emotions are affected by their meaning.

We are defined by our vocabulary.

How we speak to ourselves shapes our day.

Algebraic Beliefs Equations

Morning Meds; 6 25 19

Realizing that the religious rule book I was raised with didn’t seem to jive at times, set into motion many changes.

You can see it as a great mystery and hang on to what you have or see it as a great mystery and search for the whys and the whys not.

I tend to hang onto the parts that offer comfort and toss out the parts that do not.

It seems a lot like an algebra equation, everyone’s favorite.

You know the drill. A+B+C=D

All the letters represent things you were taught and together they equal D.

Then suddenly you find out that B isn’t right.

So now, D isn’t right.

It goes on and on and I doubt if it ever will stop.

Continually reevaluating your beliefs seeing how they feel, tossing out the old and plugging in the new.

I realized that to retain some of the more comforting ones, I have to take all of the less comfortable ones along with them.

They are a unit.

So back to class I go, hoping to quiet my mind enough to hear the answers in the stillness.

It used to be quite stressful, but I have felt the final answer and I know that D = unconditional love. That is the sum of all the parts.

The feeling is beyond description.

It is the classroom, the text, the teacher, and the answers at the end of the book where you compare your answers.

Ain’t it great?

Being a Pickle

Morning Meds; 6 24 19

Nature doesn’t seem to have a lot of instantaneous events; most things start long before we see any evidence.

Spiritual occupations can follow the same scenario.

In the absence of hard evidence, it is easy to lose heart.

It could be that we are like pickles, and it takes time to mature.

You can put cucumbers in brine, but it will be a while before it is a real pickle.

We can soothe our impatience in knowing that it has happened, and it is happening.

We are on our way.

Soon we will be the pickle we have always longed to be.

See, Hear, Feel, Know

Morning Meds; 6 23 19

See

The vision in a raindrop,

The cathedral in a cloud.

Hear

The messages whispered by waterfalls,

The symphonies performed by the wind.

Feel

The love of God in a cool breeze,

The endorphins in a child’s laugh.

The common contains the spectacular,

If we just take time to be still.

I Feel Like a Spirit

Morning Meds 6 22 22

It has been a busy week, Cheryl, my wife spent four days in a hospital with pneumonia.

I stayed with her, and she is home now and doing better.

Sincerely hope this will be her/our only experience of this.

This morning was the first somewhat normal morning we have had since Saturday.

That being said, when I started meditation this morning my first thought was that I don’t feel very spiritual.

The next thought immediately afterwards was, how can you not feel spiritual if you are a spirit?

You always feel like a human because you are a human.

How you feel is how a spirit can feel because you are also a spirit.

Whenever I thought about that today, I took the time to remind myself that this is how a spirit feels.

Interesting experience, it seemed really uplifting.

If you get a chance, give it a try.

I am interested in if or how it affects you. Have a great day.
