When the truths you ascribe to are more important than compassion it is time to reevaluate your evaluations.

We interpret life according to our opinions. Our opinions form the photos we place in the photo album of memories we carry with us.
The thoughts triggered this morning from my album are useful to myself and may not produce the same reaction for others. So please bear with me.
The movement from one religious’ system to another, makes for some turbulent times. I assume others have encountered this. This transition is still simmering on the stove of my experience.
To have peace, I’ve had to return to my Christian roots, to reevaluate them.
I know that without their influences in my life, I wouldn’t be experiencing the view I now have, and my new views are not the ones I was taught.
I believe that all religions and spiritual paths lead to the Creator of all.
The profound truths in all of them gets lost in social interpretation.
Source speaks to where we are, individually and globally. Always has, always will.
When we discount a belief system of another person or group of people, we discount a part of ourselves. We are all one.
I have been throwing out lots of old beliefs that were once categorized as truths.
I am down to what might be, five possible truths.
1. Everything is Source
2. Everything and everyone is energy.
3. If The creator of all is everything, we and everything about us is a part of Source.
4. The everything Source is, is love.
5. Source is ga-ga in love with me, unconditionally.
If I am prejudiced against prejudiced people, I am prejudiced. If I exclude people who are excluding, then I am an excluder. When I become angry at violence, I have taken on the essence violence. I know this is old stuff, I just have to remind myself quite often.
What I got this morning, was the verse from Corinthians, explaining what love is. ” Love is kind …etc.” I have always used this as a measuring stick to see where I need to improve.
Seeing me and this belief system have not always been on the best of terms, this verse was a traditional, “damn boy, you’ll never measure up.” Just another way to stop myself of having any hope of self-acceptance.
This series of verses may not be a measuring stick, but instead an explanation of how Source sees me every time and always.
Source is ga-ga in love with me. All the attributes of love are his, toward me.
I have had to adjust my viewpoint to stop the turmoil.
I just need to separate the useful from the unhelpful.
If I send hate and anger to where I came from, I will reap hate and anger. This breeds turmoil.
Instead, I started to send it love, acceptance and gratitude for where it has led me. It has spoken many loving words to me during my lifetime.
Source is a cornucopia pouring out love. This love is hidden in all the spiritual paths that are embraced by humanity.
Send love to yourself, all others and to those damns whomever you’re not happy with.
Love and acceptance of ourselves and other, liked or disliked, is the only path that can ever bring peace to our planet.

If we wish for our lives to be a beautiful song,
we must make choices that harmonize with our heart.

If the size of a thing determines the gravitational pull,
it’s no wonder we are always being drawn
to the center of Source.

When the concept of a need to surrender
has been loved away from our beliefs,
we will realize our oneness with our creator.

If you don’t seek, you don’t find,
if you don’t ask, you don’t receive,
if you don’t knock, doors will not open.
Who knows what waits within our sacred soul?
Hidden treasures of love,
gems of knowledge,
doorways to needs fulfilled.
What waits within your soul?
Seek, ask, and knock,
search the infinite possibilities.

Whenever the flow seems to slow, if we take a careful look at our conduit of inspiration, it is common to find it clogged with victim accumulation.
As soon as we start to clean it with gratitude, appreciation and responsibility for our choices, the flow returns.

It’s easy to be carrying yesterday’s frustration in a knapsack on our back. Each new now is an opportunity to set it down and start anew.

Meditation is our first opportunity to see our thoughts separated.
Until then they are just an uninterrupted chatter.
As we learn to separate them, we can discern how useful they are to us.
Does this make me feel better or worse?
Is this thought useful or unuseful?
They are energy.
We respond to their broadcast through the gift of choice.
Our choices create actions.
Actions create conditions.
The life that surrounds us is the solidified energy of our thoughts.
The good news is, we can change our surroundings by choosing different thoughts.

The love in our enlightened hearts can shine its way through any darkness.
When we seem to need more light, we just need to turn up the love.
