Uniting Spiritual and Physical

Morning Meds; 1 30 22

An integral part of the maceration of spiritual into physical and physical into spiritual is the willingness to doubt the normal precepts about what we were taught about either experience.

We must peel back the layers of the assigned sets of rules we were taught to follow.

We must be willing to ask ourselves, what if it is completely different than what we were taught and let that question sink down into our soul/core essence and wait for the answer to rise to our understanding.

It’s like a bottle of sand art, the picture will remain the same until it is distributed.

Once shaken, returning it to its original form becomes an impossibility.

The transition from what the images were to what they could become then becomes a continuous process of addition and subtraction of beliefs, but it can be done.

In time the spiritual and the physical dissolve into each other and a new personal image is created by the answers you receive from your inner guidance.

No one knows more about your personal walk than yourself.

We have just been taught not to trust it or to seek our soul’s wisdom.

We can turn our lives into works of art.

………An odd story about the experience of attempting to blend the spiritual with the physical.

I once had a dream of walking along the top of a cement barrier. On the right side of the barrier was a large city with all its steel and concrete.

On its left side was a flowing river and a lush deciduous forest. I was able to walk on top, but at the same time I knew that there was an unseen jelly like membrane that separated the natural and the man made.

The nature/spiritual side was filled with what seemed like water instead of air, but the physical side was still air. The watery substance was always pushing against the membrane.

The dream symbolism for me was spiritual and physical separated in my life.

I had followed the dream in meditation earlier in the week and was thinking about it while jogging near my home.

I decided that I would imagine myself cutting open the membrane and letting the spiritual flow into the physical. So, I imagined myself doing that.

At that very moment my phone rang, it was the college I work for as a maintenance man. It is about thirty-five miles west of where I live. I happened to be on call that weekend.

There had been a hailstorm in the spring that had damaged most the roofs in Highland Ks. One of the buildings was a three story fifteen dorm apartment. The roofers had not finished the flat rubber roofing on it and were only about halfway across.

They knew there was rain in the forecast so the created a dam with the rubber roll they were applying to the roof to stop the water from getting on to the torn off section. They weighted some tarps down over the tore off part and left for the day planning to return on Monday.

It would have worked fine if there was two or three inches of rain, not so well if there was nine inches in about two hours.

The water flowed over the rubber and literally poured into the five upper apartments. It was like a shallow swimming pool emptying.

So, the moment I cut this imagined membrane to let this watery substance flow into the physical part of my life, I get a call telling me that water is pouring though the ceilings of the upper apartments. They were talking two inches of water covering the floors and running out the doors. I actually laughed in disbelief of the perfection of the timing.

Turned out the roofing company had to take care of all the cleanup and damage.

Synchronicity is an amazing thing.

My wife Cheryl and I live in St. Joseph, Missouri. She is retired and watches three of our 12 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild. I work as a maintenance man at Highland Community College in Highland, Kansas. I have a BA in Art with an emphasis in ceramics. I am a second degree Reiki practitioner and BQH (Beyond Quantum Healing) practitioner. I started writing spiritual related posts in 2018 and started sharing them on a few different Facebook sites. This site is to consolidate and re-share them. It is also to share short stories based on images seen while in meditation. My hopes are that it will inspire others to use the powerful tool of visualisation to enhance their spiritual journey. Thank you.
