Dream. 7-22-26
White Dragon
The dream opens with me looking out of an open front door towards the south. I am aware that there is an enemy outside, but not particularly close. I am not in any immediate danger.
I see a single road that connects my enemy and myself. I know that sometimes I advance into his area and sometimes he advances into mine. There is an adjustable white line that marks our latest advance. We have been at war for a long time. The enemy is a tall middle eastern man with full black beard.
In the dream I decided to sneak out of my house to conduct a new attack. I go out my front door and turn towards the west looking for an entrance into his house. Apparently, he lives in a wooden two or three story apartment building on the second floor. The building seems vacant except for him because the apartments have been greatly damaged by our constant war. I can see inside through the exposed framing.
I made it up to his apartment and entered his living room. I can see him through an open bathroom door and he is grooming himself. I have been carrying a large, long, heavy rectangle bar of steel as a weapon. I am aware that it is too heavy to yield as a sword, but if I can take him by surprise, I might get that one fatal blow.
I am suddenly aware of a teenager in the room who is watching me and I know he will not give me away even though he is my enemy’s son.
My enemy becomes aware of my presence and enters the living room. He has two five feet tall narrow steel rectangular shields that he can hide behind. The steel plates are at least a half inch thick. I look down to the floor behind me, and I see an array of alternative weapons. All of them are massive and are the heads to construction tools. A pickaxe head, adz, and a couple of different sizes of sledgehammer heads. All of them are demolition tools. My only choice is to throw them at him and hope for a hit.
The dream changes and I am outside with a friend. We are looking towards the southeast. My awareness fluctuates between my friend and myself. Looking through his eyes, I am looking up into beautiful clear blue sky, but suddenly it is filled with white fluffy clouds. The clouds suddenly shift into shapes of letters, words and white symbols. None of them seem significant to me, but I am amazed at the complexity.
My awareness shifts back to me, and I pan the sky from the southeast all the way to the northwest. Then, to the west, I see a cloud shaped like a huge white wolf. It floats toward me and disappears into a large cloud. Following it from the west I see a huge white dragon, and it alters it form from being a cloud and becomes a living creature.
The scenery changes and I am on an airplane runway with a long one story building to my east. It is sort of like a hanger, but it is filled with small one room stores. The dragon circles a bit, so it is facing due south and starts swooping in from the north right at me.
My friend is watching from the southwest. I am now armed with a ceremonial looking sword and I know the dragon wants to have a pretend sword fight with me like I played with friends as a child.
I turn to my friend and say, “I don’t know if I will get electrocuted with a lightning bolt when we touch swords or not, but here goes!” I turn my body to face the east and squat down with my left foot and my right knee on the ground. It is like the position an individual takes to be knighted. Instead of my sword point touching the ground and my hand cupping the hilt, I reach my sword out and hold it behind me like the way you pitch a horseshoe. Holding the sword extended as far as I can, I feel and hear the whoosh of the passing dragon and feel and hear the grating sound of the tip of my sword scraping along the scales on the belly of the dragon. No dragons were harmed in this dream.
End of dream.
I know the enemy is my nemesis, SAD depression. August is a pivotal month for me.
I think the image of a middle eastern black bearded man is because of our current war with Iran. (It isust a symbol of an enemy. I have nothing against any race or ethnicity.)
The fluctuations of awareness between my friend and I are opinions of perception.
The white Wolf reminds in of permanent divine help, and the dragon speaks of renewed guidance.
The dream admonishes me to take a more playful approach.
I am also looking at the possibility of the dream pointing back to my youth related to seasonal depression. and that I may need to go back into the belly of the dragon and explore. The expression into the belly of the dragon often infers shadow work that needs to be done)
Happy dreams.
